Help Collier County Solid and Hazardous Waste Management celebrate Earth Day by getting rid of hazardous materials, unwanted prescriptions and other items for free and safe disposal. Collier County’s Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Division is teaming up with Operation Medicine Cabinet, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Keep Collier Beautiful, Goodwill Industries of Florida and Goodwill Secure Shred to host an Earth Day Collection Event between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, at the Naples Towne Centre, 3579 Tamiami Trail E., Naples, Florida 34112.

Collier County residents may bring hazardous products such as old paint, batteries, used oil, fluorescent bulbs, outdated electronics and more for free, environmentally safe disposal.

Drug Free Collier’s Operation Medicine Cabinet will collect unwanted prescriptions and over the counter medications from Collier County residents.

Goodwill Industries will collect gently used household items, clothing, computers and books.

Goodwill Secure Shred will provide free document shredding for Collier County residents.

Residents may also bring up to four 18″ or smaller tires for free recycling.
