Situated alongside two and one-half miles of pristine white sand beaches with
a backdrop of native Florida mangroves, Pelican Bay is a private community
located just north of Naples, Florida. The Foundation serves as the homeowners'
association for the community that includes over 60 residential condominium
and homeowner associations, three premier hotels, upscale shopping areas, and
a 570 acre conservation area and over 40 acres of parks and nature trails.
In
1979, Westinghouse Communities, Inc. developed an organization through which
to manage the common areas and amenities of Pelican Bay. It is called
the Pelican Bay Foundation, Inc., often referred to as “The Foundation.” The
now member-owned Foundation serves as the overall community association. There
are approximately 91 separate residential condominium and homeowner associations
within Pelican Bay.
A Board of Directors, all of whom are residents of Pelican
Bay, governs the Foundation. The directors are elected each year for three-year
terms by a vote
of the Foundation membership. The Directors elect the Officers each year. The
Board appoints the President of the Foundation.
