ENTERTAINMENT

As an internationally acclaimed arts and culture destination, the Naples area attracts talented performing artists in all manner of genres. The region’s premier entertainment spot is nestled right here in Pelican Bay: Artis—Naples, home to the Naples Philharmonic and The Baker Museum. Artis—Naples hosts more than 300 concerts, performances, exhibitions and educational events each year…something for audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. The region is also home to the Gulfshore Playhouse, The Naples Players, Shakespeare in Paradise theatre company, Opera Naples, and the Paradise Coastmen Barbershop Chorus – among many others.

Just 20 minutes outside of Pelican Bay, in Bonita Springs, Florida, the Southwest Florida Performing Arts Center offers a 650-seat theatre, a state-of-the art culinary test kitchen, and a broadcast center. The Center offers diversified cultural programming, high-end music, and all genres of entertainment performances, featuring international, national and local artists.

ATTRACTIONS

For nature lovers, it’s no question why Naples and the surrounding areas are called the Paradise Coast. Home to scores of nature preserves, wildlife sanctuaries, horse stables, fisheries and fishing charters, ecotours and more, it’s easy to get back to nature here. Clam Pass, just a tram ride away, features more than six miles of tidal ponds and creeks meandering through protected mangroves and teeming with wildlife.

Or, outside of Pelican Bay, try the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge or the Shy Wolf Sanctuary.

Of course, there’s no shortage of more traditional – and can’t-miss – attractions in the area, such as the Naples Zoo, Naples Pier, Naples Botanical Gardens, Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples, waterparks, some of the world’s best golf courses – including The Club at Pelican Bay – and even a clay shooting course.

Want to catch a ball game? Visit JetBlue Park, spring training home of the Boston Red Sox.

While members can find everything they need right here in Pelican Bay, Naples is famous for its shopping – and many retail excursions start at Naples’ storied 5th Avenue South shopping district. Known for timeless charm and downtown chic, dozens of boutiques, restaurants, art galleries and more line the walkable Avenue.

For a more historical setting, visit Third Street South, the birthplace of Old Naples and a romantic, chic shopping district set among original structures and featuring businesses in place for generations. A district that has grown and evolved with the times – without losing its roots, grace or depth – Third Street South offers century-old architecture as well as off-the-runway fashions and up-to-the minute art, décor and more.

The Village on Venetian Bay offers another waterfront shopping experience, with more than 50 exquisite boutiques and waterfront restaurants. And Mercato features the eleven-screen Silverspot Cinema, as well as Whole Foods and more dining, shopping, night life and special events.

For a different shopping experience, try the Flamingo Island Flea Market, the Naples Outlet Center, or the classic Coastland Center Mall. The Shoppes at Vanderbilt offers both a Galleria and a Farmer’s Market.
