Complimentary coffee has returned at Foundation facilities. However, disposable cups have been discontinued at all Foundation facilities including the Community Center, Commons, tennis facilities, restaurant/beach facilities. Coffee and water machine users can bring their own reusable containers to these facilities. Reusable bottles are available for purchase at the North and South Pro Shops. Please note that coffee service at South Beach will return upon the reopening of Sandbar this Tuesday, November 16.

The Board of Directors approved the initiative to eliminate disposable cups at our coffee and water stations in effort to reduce our carbon footprint and further implement our community commitment to sustainable practices. Both the production and disposal of one-time-use cups has negative effects on the environment. Pelican Bay is committed to doing our part in limiting the volume of disposable cups being sent to landfills each year. If you’d like to drink from one of our coffee or water stations, you must bring your own reusable mug or bottle. We also have a variety of reusable drinkware for sale at the North and South retail shops. Reducing our use of disposable cups embodies a sustainable community initiative and correlates directly with the Foundation’s Vision of focusing on protecting our natural environment.
