We received many member inquiries about the Foundation’s Thor Guard Red Alert system. The Foundation takes the threat of lightning very seriously.  The purpose of Thor Guard is to protect members, guests and employees from an active presence and threat of lightning. However, we also recognize that it impacts schedules and plans while using the beach and restaurant facilities, so we actively communicate the Foundation’s Thor Guard policy and procedures through the Foundation’s ongoing communication channels.

Members and guests are also encouraged to proactively monitor weather forecasts prior to arrival at the beach and take advantage of using the Foundation website to monitor Thor Guard activity.  Below, you will find current information on Thor Guard protocols and most recently published articles.
