The Pelican Bay Foundation continues to closely monitor weather conditions produced by Tropical Storm Elsa. With the current trailing rain bands producing high winds and thunderstorms, our Thor Guard lightning prediction system has put Foundation facilities into a RED ALERT for the majority of this morning.
Therefore, Marker 36 restaurant will close for lunch service. However, once it is safe for members and staff, tram service and beach services will be reinstated as normal.

Currently, the National Weather Service has issued a warning with a high rip current risk for all South Florida beaches today. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms may contain gusty winds, frequent lightning, and localized flooding.
We will continue to monitor the path of Tropical Storm Elsa and will keep the community apprised of any new developments that affect operations this week.
