Pelican Bay Foundation staff is currently monitoring weather conditions set for this coming weekend.

The National Weather Service expects very cold weather along coastal Collier County with low temperatures dropping below freezing across the interior on Saturday night. Wind chills could dip into the upper 20s across a large portion of the interior. Frost will also be a concern, especially Sunday night. Dangerous rip currents are expected from late tonight through late Saturday night. A gale warning is in effect with wave activity to around 8 feet possible.

The following amenities/facilities/services will be suspended and expected to resume normal operations on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

On Saturday, January 29, 2022:

  • Tram services closed until 2:00 p.m.
  • Beach services closed
  • All beach fitness classes are canceled for Saturday and Monday (classes will resume Tuesday, February 1).
  • Beach restaurants will reopen for dinner at 5:00 p.m. (closed for lunch and no coffee service).

The Foundation will continue to monitor impending weather conditions and will alert the community if normal operations cannot resume on Sunday.
