The Foundation is seeking candidates to serve on the Strategic Planning Committee (SPC).  The committee works as an advisor to the Board to maintain an ongoing strategic planning process to keep Pelican Bay a premier community. Recent activities have included updating the Foundation’s Strategic Plan based on the results from the latest member survey.

The current need is for individuals to assist with the committee’s ongoing strategic planning mission, as well as individuals with expertise relevant to a special project underway to update the Foundation’s design guidelines and development review process. Appointments are for three years.

To assist with the general work of the committee, candidates should have experience related to strategic planning and organizational strategy development and relevant educational credentials.

To assist with the design guidelines project, candidates should have a relevant background in urban planning, architectural design or landscape architecture.  Candidates should also have a working knowledge of and demonstrated interest in the operations of the Pelican Bay Foundation.

The SPC is active and meets at least monthly in Pelican Bay from November through May, relying on email and teleconferences during the rest of the year.
