Early this week, all Foundation Facilities closed in preparation for the effects of Tropical Storm Eta. After fully reopening all our facilities yesterday, this morning we were met with continuing threats from TS Eta.
This morning Collier County was put under a Tropical Storm Warning and a Tornado Watch until 5pm. Upon hearing this news, The Foundation made the decision to close the beaches, restaurants and tram service for the day.
As Eta continues to track North Northeast towards Tampa Bay, Pelican Bay should be in the clear tomorrow, with the exception of some rain bands.
Going into this evening and tomorrow morning, the Foundation will continue to monitor Tropical Storm Eta and any threats it may pose to Pelican Bay. As of this time we are expecting to reopen the beaches, restaurants and tram service tomorrow.
We will continue to update members on any new developments via our website, e-news and digital boards.
